Those last 10 pounds won’t leave!

It’s so cliche, but I am currently 150 lb and my ultimate goal is 140. But for the last couple months, they just won’t seem to leave!

Have I lost motivation? What’s going on?

Tips are welcome. Please and thank you.

So this month I only managed a measely three pound loss. Why is it those last 10 pounds are so hard to lose? There was a time when I could lose five pounds in one week. Whatever happened to that? Well three pounds is still better than no pounds. I didn’t lose much in inches either, but I guess it’s still better than the alternative.

I’ll just keep plugging away, I guess.

Things that could cause me stress:

I’ve lost a significant amount of weight. Fifty seven pounds, to be precise. I’m nearing my goal weight and that rules, but what if I gain it back when I’m said and done?

I bought a winter coat to replace the one from last year that no longer fits. So now I’ve got finances invested in keeping trim, because a good wool-cashmere blend double breasted peacoat doesn’t come cheap and I live in Illinois. We need to keep warm here.
It’s a size 8! That’s my ideal size! I’m still 10 lb away from my goal though so hopefully it will be too big for me by the time spring rolls around. (Or Christmas, for that matter.)

I’m supposed to meet my BF’s parents for the first time in about a week and a half. He assures me that they’re very chill people who will probably like me a lot, and I’ve never had problems meeting parents in the past. I’m adorable and very parent friendly on paper. But I have to meet parents and that’s scary.

Halloween is coming up and I love chocolate, peanut butter, smarties and starburst.
Christmas season is coming up and that means 6 weeks of cookies.

Those are the big things.

Sometimes, weight loss makes no sense.

I spent last week on vacation and instead of watching what I ate and exercising, I basically spent 5 days drinking, smoking, eating fried food and having sex with my boyfriend.

I stepped on the scale today expecting to see a gain of a few pounds, and what happens? I’m down 1.

Vacation is over, I’m back on the wagon. I hope to get 5 good workouts in this week and I’ll watch what I eat.

But sometimes, weight loss makes no sense at all.

I’m only 10 pounds away from my goal weight, as of today.

I hope you’re doing just as well.

On another note, my boobs have shrunk and I’m really starting to miss them. (Hahaha.)

LW

Whew! Over the plateau.

Actually it was more of a hump, really. I ended September in the same place I started but I had gained two pounds in the middle. The first measurement of October has me down two additional pounds beyond that.

I am 11 pounds away from my goal weight! Ahh! So stoked.

Also today I ran 5 miles, which is a new personal best.

I hope you’re all doing just as well.

As The Toasters would say: Don’t let the bastards grind you down.

Keep fighting the good fight, people.

The month was kind of a wash, weight wise, I actually gained two pounds and lost them leaving me exactly where I started. But if you look at the measurements between this month and last month I have SHRUNK! Where did it go? What happened? I’m not complaining, but really? Why is it that when you maintain, you shrink? I don’t get it.

Still only 13 pounds away from the ultimate goal.

So I didn’t lose anything in inches this month, except in my thigh. So at least that’s cool. I’m only 13 pounds away from my goal weight so I’ll be there soon.

LW

Ugh… sickness.

I’ve been battling a cold for the last week or so.

Last week I just didn’t feel like exercising. I did feel like I wanted to eat everything in sight.

I’m going to blame that on being sick. It was a super nasty cold and I was all kinds of drugged up.

Ultimately I gained two pounds.

I’m back on track this week, though. I intend to be at the gym 5 times this week and I’m going to keep the calorie count on target.

L

Milestone!

Today I lost my 50th pound.

I’m pretty stoked.

Seventeen more to go.

How about you?

L

Fearing weigh-in, last week was no good.

My only coworker took last week off and I was left with the entire office’s work.

I don’t blame her, we all need a vacation from time to time.
But I was working split shifts all week and only got to the gym ONCE.
Beyond that I didn’t bother to log my food and may have slipped more than once.

I’m hitting the gym today and I’ll weigh in after strength training. I hope this goes better than I fear.

What do you do in situations like this?
